New Delhi, March 2026: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), one of India’s leading public sector telecom companies, has officially released the BSNL Recruitment 2026 notification for Senior Executive Trainee (SET) posts. This recruitment drive brings a promising opportunity for young professionals looking to build a long-term career in the government sector.

A total of 120 vacancies have been announced under this recruitment, with positions distributed across Telecom and Finance streams. To be eligible for the Telecom stream, candidates must hold a full-time B.E./B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant disciplines such as Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT, Electrical, or Instrumentation. For the Finance stream, candidates must be qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) or Cost and Management Accountants (CMA).

Applicants must fall within the age group of 21 to 30 years as of March 7, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms, with 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and up to 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Selected candidates will be offered an attractive salary package under the IDA E-3 pay scale, ranging from ₹24,900 to ₹50,500 per month. In addition to the basic pay, employees will receive allowances such as HRA, DA, TA, and other PSU benefits, making it a highly desirable career option for aspirants seeking financial stability and work-life balance.

The selection process is designed to ensure that only the most capable candidates are chosen. It begins with a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 3 hours. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying criteria to proceed further. General category candidates need at least 45% marks in each section and 50% overall, while reserved category candidates require 35% in each section and 45% overall. A negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for each incorrect answer.

Those who successfully clear the CBT will be invited for document verification and medical examination. Final selection is subject to fulfilling all eligibility criteria and clearing these stages. Selected candidates will undergo a 2-year probation period and must sign a 5-year service bond, ensuring long-term commitment to the organization.

The application process is entirely online. Candidates need to register on the official BSNL website, fill in their details carefully, upload required documents, and pay the application fee. The fee is set at ₹2,500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹1,250 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
