KELLYVILLE, Okla., June 10, 2026 - Hero Process Solutions, a U.S. manufacturer of combustion and emissions-control equipment for the oil and gas industry, today highlighted the availability of its in-stock A+ Series air-assist flares, engineered to maintain 98% or greater destruction efficiency (DRE) and to meet EPA 40 CFR 60.18 and OOOOa/b/c performance requirements.
As producers work through evolving federal methane and volatile organic compound standards, including the May 7, 2026 routine-flaring phase-out milestone, many operators need compliant equipment they can deploy quickly. The A+ Series is designed to address that need with turnkey tank-battery flare packages that ship from stock for immediate delivery.
Each A+ Series flare comes equipped with a variable frequency drive (VFD) blower that automatically adjusts blower speed based on tank vapor flow rate. This dynamic control helps keep destruction efficiency at or above 98 percent and supports reliable, smokeless performance even as vent loads change throughout the day. Systems are offered with single or dual inlets to handle both high-pressure and low-pressure streams.
Hero maintains a range of standard dual LP/HP air-assist models in stock, with low-pressure capacities from 140 MSCFD up to 2.5 MMSCFD and high-pressure capacities from 1 MMSCFD up to 60 MMSCFD, so operators can match a unit to a wide range of tank-battery applications without waiting on a long custom build.
"Operators are navigating shifting requirements, and they need equipment that performs reliably and is available when they need it," said Craig Rosencutter, Owner of Hero Process Solutions. "Our A+ Series is built to hold destruction efficiency above 98 percent through a VFD-controlled blower, and because we keep units in stock, we can help facilities stay compliant and operating without a long lead time."
Air-assist flare technology uses a base-mounted blower to provide combustion air, keeping air and waste gas isolated until they combine at the flare tip exit to create the turbulence needed for smokeless burning. The approach is well suited to sites where steam or assist gas is not available, which is common across U.S. shale basins.
Globally, the case for efficient flare management continues to grow. The World Bank's 2025 Global Gas Flaring Tracker reported that global gas flaring rose to 151 billion cubic meters in 2024, the highest level since 2007.
