BANGKOK, Thailand - Holi Health Massage, a Thai traditional massage brand with branches in Bangkok, Pattaya and Chiang Mai, has published the licence details of every branch on its bilingual website, holi-thailand.com.

What is published

For each branch, the website lists the licence number issued by Thailand's Department of Health Service Support (Ministry of Public Health), the registered Thai name, the registered address and the licensed floor area:

The Phuket Patong branch is a franchise operated by a partner that holds its own licence.

Anyone can check these details on the Department's public register at spa-services.hss.moph.go.th by entering the licence number or the registered Thai name.

Why publish them

Massage is one of the most searched-for activities in Thailand, and visitors often cannot tell a licensed shop from an unlicensed one. Publishing licence numbers lets guests verify a shop in a few minutes rather than take a brand's word for it. Holi also publishes its prices, service descriptions and contraindications, and asks every guest to complete a short health questionnaire before a session.

Therapist training

Holi's therapists hold certificates recognised by the Department of Health Service Support. In 2018 the brand opened a training school with The Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society, with courses certified by the Department.

About Holi Health Massage

Holi Health Massage is run by Siam Thai Sabai Co., Ltd. Its technique traces back to the early 20th century; from the 1990s it was one of the larger Bangkok massage houses serving tour groups, and since 2016 the brand has been run by a new management team. Its signature service is Jap Kasai, a traditional Thai tendon massage. Holi's services are wellness experiences, not medical treatment. Holi does not offer sexual services and serves guests aged 18 and over only.
