Paint the Night Purple to Bring Hope, Healing and Community Together in Support of Domestic Violence Survivors

[September 8, 2026, West Islip, NY] — The Quiet Healer is bringing the community together this October for Paint the Night Purple: An Evening of Hope, Healing & Community, an event dedicated to raising awareness of domestic violence and supporting survivors.

Taking place on October 7, 2026, at Marconi Manor in West Islip, NY, Paint the Night Purple will combine dinner, comedy, psychic readings and community connection for an evening that is both meaningful and uplifting. The event will benefit ECLI VIBES, an organization that provides resources, advocacy, education and support to survivors of domestic violence.

Domestic violence does not always leave visible bruises. Often it takes away confidence, creates isolation and make someone feel as though they have nowhere to turn. Paint the Night Purple was created to bring those experiences into the conversation while reminding survivors that they are seen, heard and supported.

“Domestic violence is something we need to talk about openly,” said Janice Tverberg, Owner of The Quiet Healer and organizer of Paint the Night Purple. “For many people, abuse doesn't begin with something obvious. Domestic abuse is often insidious, beginning with control, manipulation, and isolation. You slowly lose your confidence and sense of self. I know because I lived through it myself. I know how difficult it can be to recognize the patterns and how hard it can be to leave. I also know that healing is possible.”

The evening will feature a buffet dinner prepared by the head chef at Marconi Manor, combining traditional catering fare with some famous Dang BBQ favorites. Complimentary soda and coffee will be available, along with a cash bar. Guests will also enjoy an evening of comedy featuring Angela LaRosa, whose warmth and humor will add laughter and light to the evening.

Guests will also have the opportunity to receive a 10-minute, one-on-one psychic reading, providing an intimate opportunity for personal insight and encouragement.
At its heart, however, Paint the Night Purple is about community.

“Events like this give us an opportunity to do more than raise money,” Tverberg said. “They allow us to have conversations that matter, to learn from one another and to show survivors that they don't have to rebuild their lives alone.”

Every ticket purchased helps support ECLI VIBES and its work helping survivors find safety, build independence, access supportive resources and begin their healing journey. Those unable to attend can also contribute by making a donation.
