Swindon, Wiltshire, 14 October 2026. JM Square Hot Tubs has put professional hot tub installation at the centre of its hire service for homes in Swindon and the surrounding villages. Anyone booking a tub now gets an installer at the door rather than a flat box and a set of instructions. The team delivers the tub, positions it, fills it, checks it is heating properly and then returns to collect it once the hire ends. The customer’s job is to choose a date.

The reasoning behind the change is practical. A hot tub looks easy enough in a photograph, but anyone who has wrestled a full-sized tub across a lawn knows the reality is different. Ground that looks level often is not, hoses end up in the wrong place, and a plug socket that seemed close turns out to be four metres short. Professional hot tub installation takes those small headaches away before they turn into a ruined Saturday afternoon.

What does the work actually involve? The team needs a flat, stable surface of roughly 3m by 3m, an outdoor plug socket and an ordinary garden hose within reach. Grass, decking and patios are all acceptable, and protective flooring is brought along where the surface calls for it. Nothing special is needed in the way of plumbing. A typical set-up takes between 30 and 45 minutes. Before leaving, the installer talks the customer through the water care routine, and the hire includes filters, chemicals and a written usage guide so nobody is left guessing on day two.

There is one thing the team is firm about, and that is timing. The water in the tub needs 10 to 12 hours to reach its full temperature, and the exact figure depends on the weather. For that reason JM Square does not do same-day hire. The tub arrives and is filled the day before it is wanted, so that it is properly hot when the guests arrive. The alternative is a lukewarm tub and a disappointed birthday party. Someone does need to be at home for both delivery and collection.

The tub on offer is the Lay-Z-Spa Helsinki AirJet. It takes its styling from the traditional Nordic wooden tub, seats up to seven adults and heats to 40 degrees, with the AirJet system keeping the water lively. People often ask about hot tub manufacturers when they start looking into hire, and the honest answer is that JM Square is not one of them. The business hires out tubs made by a well-known brand in the portable market and puts its own effort into the parts a manufacturer cannot do: delivery, set-up, cleaning and collection. Every tub is drained and disinfected between hires, then refilled for the next household.

Demand is not confined to the town centre, and the company has been getting enquiries from villages around Swindon. Residents hunting for hot tub rental in Highworth now have a local option that arrives with its own installer. The same goes for hot tub rental in Broad Blunsdon, where gardens tend to be generous and a 3m by 3m patch is rarely hard to find. Wroughton and Watchfield are on the list as well. Delivery is free within Swindon, so households in the villages are asked to ring ahead and confirm the arrangements.

Weather is a common worry, so it is worth stating the obvious: a hot tub works in winter. Sitting in 40 degree water while the lawn is frosty is a rather good way to spend an evening, and the team is happy to take bookings for the colder months. Because privacy and shelter matter more when it is raining, JM Square also hires out gazebos. Disco lights, portable barbecues, Bluetooth speakers and drink tables are on the extras list for those who want to turn a soak into a proper party.

Customers who have used the service describe it in fairly plain terms. They mention that the tub arrived spotless, that the setup was done without fuss, and that the extras made a birthday or family weekend feel organised rather than improvised. One reviewer singled out the gazebo.

Getting a booking started is straightforward. Customers can check availability through the website, message the team on WhatsApp, telephone 07393 132513 or send an email to [email protected]. Nothing is paid online at the enquiry stage. The team confirms availability first and payment follows only once the booking is agreed. Anyone who has to cancel receives a full refund provided they give at least seven days’ notice. Weekend dates fill up early, so it makes sense to ask sooner rather than later.

For anyone comparing local hire companies, the pitch is modest but clear. JM Square offers one tub, installed properly, cleaned thoroughly and collected the next day, with a few sensible extras if wanted. It does not claim to be the biggest operator in Wiltshire. It does claim that when it delivers a tub, somebody who knows what they are doing will be the one to set it up, and that is the whole point of professional hot tub installation.
