Orchard Road Animal Hospital is proud to announce the renewal of its accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), following a comprehensive evaluation completed on June 4, 2025. The renewed accreditation reflects the hospital’s continued commitment to maintaining high standards of veterinary medicine and providing quality care for pets and their families.

Unlike human hospitals, veterinary hospitals are not universally required to undergo accreditation. AAHA-accredited practices voluntarily participate in a rigorous evaluation process designed to assess approximately 900 standards covering a broad range of veterinary operations and patient care. These standards extend beyond basic state regulations and encompass areas including animal care, pain management, staff training, and advanced diagnostic services.

As part of the accreditation process, an AAHA consultant visited Orchard Road Animal Hospital and conducted a thorough review of the practice and its facilities. Following the evaluation, AAHA renewed the hospital’s accreditation. The practice is scheduled for another evaluation in 2028 as part of the ongoing accreditation process.

AAHA standards are continually reviewed and updated to help accredited veterinary practices remain current with advancements in veterinary medicine and maintain a high level of clinical excellence. Maintaining accreditation requires hospitals to undergo evaluation by trained AAHA consultants every three years.

Orchard Road Animal Hospital has maintained its relationship with AAHA for more than two decades, having been an accredited member since 2001. According to the hospital, only approximately 15 percent of small-animal veterinary facilities in the United States are accredited hospital members of AAHA, making accreditation a meaningful distinction for practices committed to voluntarily meeting rigorous quality standards.

The renewed accreditation supports Orchard Road Animal Hospital’s ongoing focus on comprehensive veterinary care. The hospital provides services including preventive care, surgery, veterinary dentistry, digital radiology, ultrasound imaging, grooming, and other services designed to support pets throughout their lives.
