Paula Jean Roche Interiors launches Sofa Life Coaching in partnership with Europe's only practising sofa healer

The average Brit spends four years of their life on the sofa. We're charging £2,476 to heal it. Heal the sofa. Heal the life.

Paula Jean Roche Interiors today announces the public launch of Sofa Life Coaching: a professional programme of emotional realignment for sofas, delivered in partnership with Fabricia Von Den Chaisenloungen, Europe's only practising sofa healer. The programme has operated by referral since 2024, building a waiting list and a body of client outcomes that the studio is now making available to a wider audience for the first time. The interior design industry has spent decades perfecting how a sofa looks, while entirely neglecting how it feels. Sofa Life Coaching exists to address that gap.

Sofas accumulate years of unresolved emotional residue - from everyday stress to major life events - impacting both the furniture and those who use it. For many, their sofa is no longer aligned with their life's purpose.
"The relationship that ended on it. The conflict that played out around it. The grief, the anxiety, the Sunday morning argument. The tax return completed at midnight on the final day. Over years, that accumulation stays in the sofa, stays in the room, and stays with the people who sit there every day. People think the solution is to reupholster or replace. But what if the issue is not physical? What if it is energetic? We invest a huge amount in how our spaces look, and very little in how they feel. Your sofa, more than any other piece of furniture in your home, carries the weight of daily life." Paula Jean Roche.

Fabricia Von Den Chaisenloungen, who has worked with sofas across fourteen European countries, describes her practice as deeply misunderstood. "There is no such thing as a bad sofa. Only a bad vibe."
Von Den Chaisenloungen is clear that flat pack sofas fall outside the scope of the work. "Flat pack furniture comes with its own work to do first. It's not ready."

Though it may seem unconventional, demand has been immediate. The latest programme release booked within hours, and the waiting list continues to grow. We are now advertising the programme publicly for the first time to scale and meet demand.

The Programmes

Sofa Life Coaching is available at £2,476 and includes a full sofa vibe audit and written report, two private coaching sessions with the sofa, access to the Sofa Vibe Community, quarterly check-ins and mood alignment booster sessions.

For clients requiring deeper work, Deep Vibe Immersion is available at £3,892. This includes everything in the standard programme, plus a full private session in which Fabricia works ALONE with the sofa. The owner waits outside. What happens in the room is confidential. One client per month only.
Flat pack furniture is not eligible for either programme.

Client testimonials

"I lost 35 pounds. I was not even trying. Fabricia told me my cushions were holding onto energy that was not mine. I let it go. The sofa let it go. We let it go together." Amanda K, Edinburgh

"Fabricia asked me to leave while she worked with the sofa alone. I waited in the kitchen for forty minutes. When I came back, everything felt different. The light. The air. Me. I have since left a job I hated, ended a situationship and started painting. The sofa started it."Jess M, London

"After Fabricia's session, my sofa and I have developed what I can only describe as a spiritual bond. I no longer sit ON it. I sit WITH it. There's a difference. You'll understand when it happens to you." Deborah W, Cheshire

"I tried to sneak my IKEA Kivik in for a session. Fabricia knew immediately. She said it wasn't ready and asked me to leave. I respect that. The Kivik has some work to do." Tom H, Bristol
