After receiving and reviewing more than 1200 grant applications, The Bolger Foundation’s Board of Trustees narrowed the pool of applicants down to 137 finalists. Of those, 86 nonprofit organizations have been awarded grants from The Bolger Foundation in the foundation’s Spring 2026 funding period.

Outright grants totaling $623,490.52 were made to 37 nonprofits. In addition, 49 nonprofits have been offered challenge grants in the amount of $1,832,000; those 501(c)(3) entities are tasked with raising a total of $5,270,500 in order to meet their challenges. Some of these challenge grants are still pending acceptance.

The Bolger Foundation supports capital projects with a budget of less than $2.5 million that enhance tangible property. Its areas of focus are community; education; health, including mental health; and preservation and conservation.
