Delhi, October 10: Prominent Shia Islamic scholar and leader Maulana Hasan Ali Rajani has questioned the government’s handling of protests in Delhi, stating that peaceful protest is a democratic right.Rajani said the developments raised serious questions about the government’s performance and the administration’s preparedness.He emphasized that authorities must address public grievances responsibly while respecting citizens’ constitutional rights.He added that maintaining law and order should go hand in hand with protecting civil liberties and peaceful dissent.
Rajani stressed that transparency, accountability and constructive dialogue are essential to democratic governance.
