SafeLane Healthcare, an NDIS provider supporting participants across Melbourne and Sydney, has announced a new supported independent living (SIL) home at 59 Petaluma Crescent, Officer. The house is the provider's second SIL home in Melbourne's south-east, alongside its existing home at 5 Bond Court, Cranbourne.
SIL funds the support workers who help a participant live in their own home. It does not pay rent or the cost of the building. SafeLane's Officer home is designed so that participants can build everyday skills and independence with trained support workers on hand, day and night.
About the home
The Officer home offers:
• four bedrooms, with built-in robes in three and a master bedroom with ensuite
• two bathrooms and a dedicated study
• two living areas
• a fully fenced yard on a 504 m² block
• a double garage with remote access
• ducted heating, 5G coverage and a separate laundry with external access
The home is close to local shops, parks and schools, with the Pakenham train line nearby.
