Digital Smile Design (DSD) is used widely in cosmetic dentistry to design a patient's ideal smile. We create a 3D mockup of the patient's teeth and gums, and use computer software to predict the results. DSD takes into account the patient's facial features and personality to create a personalised treatment plan. We use the Dentsply Sirona CEREC software and Omnicam AF Intraoral scanner to preview cosmetic procedures such as veneers, teeth whitening, and orthodontics. Digital Smile Design is an excellent tool for communication between the patient and dentist.
Laser dentistry is a boon for the patients who avoid visiting the dentist with the fear of getting large cuts and blood loss in dentistry. It is a modern technique that involves the use of Erbium, Nd:YAG, Diode, and CO2 lasers in dental treatments.
With the introduction of lasers, many dental procedures have started yielding numerous benefits over traditional methods. The patients experience less pain, bleeding, better recovery, swelling, and often require less anaesthesia. We use the Biolase Epic X Laser for all our laser dentistry procedures.
Injections can now be painless with the help of Wand - a dental device that administers anaesthesia without the pain of traditional injections. The wand uses a computer-controlled flow rate to deliver the anaesthetic slowly, numbing the area of treatment without the sharp pinch of a traditional injection. The wand can also be used to deliver smaller amounts of anaesthesia more accurately, minimising the numbness of surrounding areas.
