Spanish visual artist Jose Gomez is delighted to announce prints of ‘The Gaze’ and ‘Watermelon Man’ are available exclusively for sale at Gaze Studios, the Australian online art store specialized in Queer Art.
‘The Gaze’ is one of the figurative paintings from Jose Gomez’s ‘Gay Love’ series. ‘Watermelon Man’ was the first piece conceived for Jose’s ‘Men and Sport’ series. Both paintings share Jose’s signature style, blending vibrant colors with geometric patterns inspired by the traditional architecture of Portugal and Southern Spain, where Jose is from.
‘The Gaze’ and ‘Watermelon Man’ were carefully chosen by Gaze Studios’ founder Kristina for the vibrancy of his paintings: “we are so happy to welcome Jose Gomez at Gaze Studios. When we found out about his work, we knew he had to be part of our platform to celebrate queer creativity. We love his work; we love how vibrant, captivating and sensual his paintings are and we can’t wait for our customers to discover them”.
This exciting new collaboration with Gaze Studios arrives at a point where Jose’s appeal to visitors and curators continues to grow beyond borders. After numerous exhibitions in the United Kingdom, where he resides, Spain and Germany, Australia is the latest country to encounter Jose’s vibrant body of work. This is also the first time that Jose’s work will be exclusively available for sale to an LGBTQIA+ clientele.
Jose shares his excitement about joining Gaze Studios: “I’m happy to be joining Gaze Studios on this new venture and be part of a mix of creative and interesting artists from Australia and all around the world. I can’t wait to introduce these paintings to new art lovers in the LGBTQIA+ community and, I hope, to new queer art collectors as well.”
‘The Gaze’ and ‘Watermelon Man’ by Jose Gomez are now available online as printed editions and can be purchased through Gaze Studios online store.
