Los Angeles, CA – November 12, 2025 – The International Cup, International Science & Innovation Competition, organized by the AlphaPi Foundation in partnership with US national partner CAST-USA and local community partner Turtle Rock Science Club, along with multiple sponsors, has concluded with record participation and inspiring presentations that highlighted youth innovation, scientific leadership, and forward-looking AI-driven research education. The event convened virtually on November 8 and brought together distinguished award-winning scientists, emerging student innovators, and industry-leading partners to celebrate creativity, discovery, and impact across disciplines.
This year’s event featured keynote insights from global luminaries, including Nobel Laureates Dr. Frank Wilczek (MIT), Dr. John C. Mather (NASA and University of Maryland), as well as Turing Award and Abel Prize recipient Dr. Avi Wigderson (Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton). Their talks inspired attendees to push the boundaries of discovery and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
“We are incredibly proud of the talented finalists and grateful to our speakers and partners for making the International Cup a beacon for the next generation of trailblazers and changemakers,” said Dr. Chun Ma, President of AlphaPi Foundation, in her opening remarks. “These projects reflect the power of persistence, global teamwork, and a shared vision for a brighter scientific future.” Dr. Xingyu Wang, President of CAST-USA; Dr. Zheng Sun, Founder and President of Turtle Rock Science Club; and Dr. Andrew Zhang, Founder of A+Edu and CEO of AlphaAI, also gave remarks during the event, highlighting the significance of partnership, innovation, and cross-cultural engagement.
Across three showcase sessions, student finalists presented pioneering research projects ranging from novel AI-powered diagnostic tools for medical imaging and elderly care to adaptive robotics, sustainability-focused biotech solutions, and technology-enhanced interventions for health and education. Notable projects included an AI Math Solver from Photos using advanced vision-language models, MRI-based lung nodule screening, brain-computer interface solutions for autism, and a groundbreaking microfluidic oral probiotic delivery system.
A distinguished judging panel from top institutions such as Harvard, Tsinghua, USC, and UCI, along with industry leaders from CAST-USA, A+Edu, AlphaAI, MentorX, and Glamor, evaluated projects for scientific merit, innovation, and real-world impact. Notable judges included Dr. Jinrong Zhou (Harvard), Dr. Yifeng Yu (UCI), Dr. Zhu Liu (Tsinghua), Dr. Yajie Zhao (USC), and experienced leaders from science, technology, and education organizations.
The International Cup was made possible by the support of its community and sponsors, including A+Edu (Platinum Partner), AlphaAI (Gold Partner), Silver Partners Spring Realty, MentorX, Glamor, and Bronze Partner OC App-In Club, with media support from A+Media, reflecting industry-wide commitment to empowering emerging innovators.
