New OxyLock® platform marks the company's shift from chemical oxygen scavenging to engineered, chemical-free oxygen removal

Watch Water® GmbH, a Mannheim-based leader in water and wastewater treatment technology, today announced OxyLock® Mission 10% — a global strategy to capture at least 10% of the world's oxygen-scavenger market. The move positions OxyLock®, the company's engineered oxygen-removal platform, as a direct replacement for traditional chemical dosing programs used across boilers, closed loops, high-purity water systems, power generation and, eventually, hydrogen applications.

The global oxygen-scavenger market is valued at approximately US$3.27 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach US$5.67 billion by 2033. A 10% share would represent close to US$327 million in value today, growing to an estimated US$567 million by 2033.

Watch Water® is opening its campaign in boiler feedwater, a segment worth an estimated US$1.47 billion in 2025 on its own — where a 10% share alone would equal roughly US$147 million in annual value. From there, the company plans to expand across four more fronts: closed-loop heating and cooling systems, high-purity water for electronics and pharma, power and large industrial plants, and hydrogen water treatment.

Rather than selling OxyLock® as a commodity chemical, Watch Water® is positioning it as a full technology platform — covering treatment media, vessels, sensors, monitoring, engineering, commissioning and ongoing service.
