DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, [11/4/2026] - Chinese-brand cars made up about 1,400 of the 30,881 verified used cars listed on YallaMotor, the UAE car marketplace for new and used car prices, on 3 November 2026, or under 5% of its UAE used listings. On the new car side, nearly 50 Chinese brands now sell in the UAE, up from about 15 in 2023, according to an Al Bayan survey of UAE car companies published in February 2026. YallaMotor expects the used share to grow as those cars come back to dealers as trade-ins.
Key findings
Of the roughly 1,400 used Chinese-brand cars on YallaMotor, 935 were listed in Dubai, 203 in Abu Dhabi, 108 in Sharjah and 91 in Ajman. Established brands still dominate used supply, led by Nissan with 4,466 listings and Toyota with 3,678. Dealers posted about 5,600 of YallaMotor's UAE used listings, or about one in five, with private owners posting the rest.
The Al Bayan survey also found that Chinese brands accounted for 67% of electric vehicles sold in the UAE, and that the country's used car market was worth about USD 20.5 billion in 2025, with Dubai making up more than half.
"Chinese brands have built a large new car fleet in the UAE in a short time, and those cars are now starting to come back as trade-ins," said Mohamad AlRayes, Director of Growth at YallaMotor. "Dealers holding that stock need buyers who are comparing brands, and they need to reach them without paying for months of listings in advance. Dealers choosing a car listing platform in the UAE should look at what it costs to list, whether they are tied into a contract, and whether they can see which models buyers want. YallaMotor answers all three at no listing cost."
What the shift means for dealers
For dealers, used Chinese-brand stock carries two risks: there is little price history to set a retail price, and buyers are unsure about warranty and parts. YallaMotor recommends that dealers list every used Chinese-brand car with a full price, the remaining manufacturer or dealer warranty in writing, the GCC specification and the service record from the authorised importer. Listings that answer those questions up front give buyers a reason to call rather than keep comparing.
How listing works for dealers on YallaMotor
YallaMotor lists dealers' new and used inventory with no listing fee, no subscription and no contract, and dealers can stop at any time without a cancellation fee. Dealers pay only for extra visibility, through Feature Ads that place a car at the top of search results or Refresh Ads that keep it visible for longer. Buyers contact dealers directly by WhatsApp or phone. A dealer dashboard tracks ads, lead counts and performance, and shows market insights on top-performing brands and high-demand models, so a dealer can judge interest in models such as the Haval H6, Jetour T2 or Geely Coolray before pricing them. YallaMotor reports more than 500 dealer partners across seven markets.
