Yes Helping Hand is a Nepal-based social-impact non-profit preserving Himalayan cashmere and pashmina heritage by blending traditional handloom craftsmanship with contemporary design to create timeless, sustainable garments.

Pokhara (Damside), Nepal February 16 — Yes Helping Hand Cashmere & Woolen Clothing is a sustainable fashion brand rooted in a powerful mission: connecting the Himalayan region’s rich hand-woven heritage with global consumers, while creating dignified livelihoods for Nepal’s marginalized communities—especially single women, local artisans, and differently-abled individuals.
Founded on the belief that craftsmanship can transform lives, Yes Helping Hand converts generations-old skills in weaving, knitting, and embroidery into meaningful economic opportunities. At a time when rising living costs challenge basic necessities such as food, shelter, and education, the brand remains deeply committed to social upliftment, women empowerment, and inclusive growth.
Empowering women to become financially independent has a ripple effect—strengthening families, supporting children’s education, and fostering resilient communities. Many artisans, despite limited formal education, demonstrate exceptional skill and creativity, redefining their futures through their craft. This philosophy is reflected in the brand’s mission statement: “Empower Lives. Wear with Purpose. Impact Beyond Fashion.”
Established in 2011 amid the rise of global digital connectivity, Yes Helping Hand began as a non-profit initiative driven by a clear social vision. With strong local support, it expanded from selling handmade crafts to offering free, skill-based training in cashmere knitting and weaving. Multilingual trainers, food-support programs, and inclusive employment opportunities helped unlock the potential of single mothers, specially-abled individuals, and underserved communities.
Sustainability lies at the heart of every creation. All cashmere and pashmina pieces are crafted using ethically sourced, animal-friendly fibers—combed naturally from the undercoat of Himalayan Chyangra goats grazing at high altitudes. This community-driven ecosystem connects local herders, Mustang farmers, and artisans to produce soft-on-skin, gentle-on-planet cashmere that honors Nepal’s cultural legacy while embracing modern responsibility.
Yes Helping Hand’s global vision is to offer 100% pure, organic cashmere and pashmina—hand-woven, richly detailed, available in a wide spectrum of hues, and priced accessibly—bringing authentic Himalayan luxury to the world.
Founder Dinesh Kumar Thapa shares:
“What began as a non-profit evolved into a social enterprise through the dedication, resilience, and belief of Nepal’s artisans. Their hard work transformed not only our organization, but countless lives.”
Today, Yes Helping Hand comprises a core team of 200 dedicated professionals and empowers over 90 blind, deaf, and specially-abled individuals. The initiative has supported more than 950 skilled artisans, including trafficked women and those long neglected by society, enabling economic and emotional independence. Beyond fair wages, the organization provides training in handloom weaving, dyeing, and knitting, along with food, shelter, dormitory facilities, and healthcare support—allowing artisans to focus on their craft with dignity.
The brand reinvests profits into community development. To date, Yes Helping Hand has supported three schools, rebuilt 672 homes destroyed by earthquakes, and positively impacted over 1,800 lives across Nepal.
Chief Executive Officer Sudip Bhandari adds:
“We dedicate 30% of our profits to accessibility and welfare initiatives nationwide—from distributing white canes and hearing aids to supporting aged-care homes, special-needs schools, and inclusive sports programs. Every product we create carries hope, independence, and purpose.”
With every handcrafted piece, Yes Helping Hand proves that fashion can be a force for good—where timeless Himalayan craftsmanship meets global responsibility and every purchase creates impact beyond style.
