Amb. Dr. Deepa Chhagan Lalloo Brings Organisational Psychology into Business Strategy.

The effective alignment of people, processes and business objectives are essential to organisational success. Amb. Dr Deepa Chhagan Lalloo, otherwise known as Sunaina, lives by this mantra as Founder and Managing Director of Altius Global Advisory, leading her team in organisational effectiveness, human capability and strategic growth.

Her professional experience is in human resources leadership, organisation design, shared services development, workforce transformation, mergers and acquisitions integration and business advisory. Her experience means she can tackle issues from a people management and an operational standpoint.

She spearheaded the development and centralisation of human capital (HC) operational functions within a multinational group comprising 18 subsidiaries in 12 countries in Africa, UAE, India and Kazakhstan at AvaCare Health Group Global. Coordinated activities across varying business environments and integration of people, systems and organisational structures were required.

Her roles at BDO involved talent management, learning & development, leadership development, succession planning, performance management and employee engagement. She also became an assessor of the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from the September of 2018 until the end of August 2025.

Deepa is a graduate of the University of London with an MSc in Organisational Psychology, and a BA from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. She has completed further studies in business sustainability management, as well as managerial finance. In 2026, Kennedy University awarded her an honorary doctorate degree with specialisations in Organisational Psychology, Strategic Management and Leadership, as well as a Peace Ambassadorship.
