Amb. Sunaina, professionally known as Dr. Deepa Chhagan Lalloo, is a professional journey with a background of corporate experience, business development and a focused approach towards building human capability.

She has held executive positions such as Executive Director of Human Resources and Human Capital at AvaCare Health Group Global.

As part of this function, she spearheaded all aspects of human capital operational development in an 18-subsidiary, multinational organization in 12 African nations, UAE, India and Kazakhstan. She was responsible for more than HR issues, including organisational design, governance, payroll, finance integration, and IT implementation and workforce transformation.

Her business knowledge enriches her professional outlook. In 2019 she created Bakeology Studio, with the aim of starting in 2020 a platform dedicated to the creation of new technical skills and to the dissemination of training that is made easy for anyone, especially in the hospitality and food and beverage sectors. The enterprise evolved into several ideas and opened up up as much as four retail shops.

The experiences she acquired helped her build her knowledge on business planning, experience of the customer, financial management and team development and operations execution. They further strengthened her conviction that professional development needs to provide real job and business creation opportunities.

In 2026, Kennedy University gave Deepa an honorary recognition, which included an honorary doctorate with the following specialisations: Organisational Psychology, Strategic Management and Leadership, as well as an Ambassadorship for Peace.
