Amb. Dr. Deepa Chhagan Lalloo Emphasises the Role of Organisational Psychology in Leadership.

To be a good leader you need to understand human behaviour To achieve the realisation of employee potential into real benefits, organisations must have an insight into how individuals learn, collaborate, decide and adapt to change. Amb. Dr Deepa Chhagan Lalloo otherwise known as Sunaina offers her perceptions on this knowledge to her work as an organisational psychologist and strategic manager.

In her role as Founder and Managing Director of Altius Global Advisory she is dedicated to building human capability, increasing organisational effectiveness and supporting organisations to look at the horizon and position for the future.

Her experience also encompasses executive human capital leadership at Ava Care Health Group Global, and organisational development, leadership development and talent management at BDO. In these roles, she observed the interactions of workforce capabilities, business structures and operational effectiveness.

(2018-2025) She is also an assessor for the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from September 2018 to August 2025. This work involved assessing senior executives and giving developmental feedback to enable learning to be applied within their organizations.

Deepa has developed a leader-centric model that aims to clarify the distinctions between potential, capability and impact. Everyone has the potential to develop, but without the requisite knowledge, experience, judgement and behaviour, capability cannot materialise, and impact can't be achieved.

Academic qualifications MSc in Organisational Psychology from the University of London BA from University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg 2026 Kennedy University awarded her the Peace Ambassadorship and an honorary doctorate – specialised in Organisational Psychology, Strategic Management and Leadership.
