Amb. Dr. Deepa Chhagan Lalloo Highlights the Importance of Business Psychology in Decision-Making.

Business decisions are informed not only by the numbers, but also by operational priorities and human behaviour.

Amb. Dr Deepa Chhagan Lalloo aka Sunaina. Offers a blend of academic grounding in organisational psychology and practical leadership experience to the human side of business decision-making.

In her role as Founder and Managing Director of Altius Global Advisory she brings her expertise of organisational psychology, human capability, business performance and executive leadership to companies. Her perspective takes into account the dynamics within a working environment when considering complex organisation issues and improvement strategies.

Deepa has an MSc in Organisational Psychology from the University of London (2012). She undertook a Business Psychology and Human Behaviour course through the University of South Africa in 2009. This academic qualification complements her talent management, organisational development and performance management experience at BDO.

Her executive career includes; Executive Director of Human Resources & Human Capital, Ava Care Health Group Global. She is responsible for the development and global centralisation of human capital functions for 18 subsidiaries in 12 African countries, the UAE, India and Kazakhstan.

Having a grasp of how people behave allows leaders to understand how communication, defining role responsibilities, setting expectations and designing organisational structures shape decision-making. And when used together with business data and experience, this can lead to better, more reflective management.

Deepa was an assessor for the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

She was awarded Peace Ambassadorship and an honorary doctorate with specialisation in Organisational Psychology, Strategic Management and Leadership at Kennedy University in 2026.

Via her work as a publisher, she disseminates expertise that applies the understanding of behaviour to businesses.
