Her career includes several years of corporate multinational human capital leadership roles, leading executive assessment, organisational development and consulting in entrepreneurship. As head of human capital operational development and centralisation at Ava Care Health Group Global, she oversaw 18 subsidiaries in 12 African countries, the UAE, India and Kazakhstan in areas such as workforce transformation, organisation design, governance, business integration and shared services.

During her time at BDO she continued to build her expertise in talent management, leadership development, succession planning and employee engagement. She was an assessor on the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme (SAID Business School, University of Oxford) from September 2018 to August 2025.

Deepa's professional approach focuses on ensuring that leadership decisions are translated into tangible organisational results. She believes that good leadership involves the application of knowledge of human behaviour as well as acquiring the necessary competencies and adapting to the business context.

In 2026, Kennedy University honoured her with a Peace Ambassador and an honorary doctorate in Organisational Psychology, Strategic Management and Leadership.
