Step 1: Create Your Environment
Log in to your APPSeCONNECT portal and navigate to My Environments. Click Create New Environment and give it a name that reflects your use case (e.g., "SAP-Shopify Production").
An environment is essentially your workspace for a specific integration. You can run multiple environments in parallel, which is useful for keeping staging and production setups separate.
Step 2: Choose a Pre-Built Integration Package
This is where the low-code advantage kicks in. Head to the Marketplace inside your portal and search for your application pair. APPSeCONNECT ships with hundreds of pre-configured packages covering popular ERP, eCommerce, and CRM combinations.
Select the package that matches your setup. Each listing shows you exactly what data flows are included, such as order sync, inventory updates, and customer records, so there are no surprises.
Pro tip: If you see a "Ready to Deploy" badge, the package requires zero schema customization to go live.
Step 3: Connect Your Applications
Once you've selected a package, the platform walks you through authenticating each app. Click Configure Credentials for each application and enter the required details:
-For ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, NetSuite): server URL, database name, and service account credentials
-For eCommerce/CRM apps (Shopify, Salesforce, etc.): API key or OAuth token from your app's admin panel
APPSeCONNECT validates the connection in real time and flags any authentication issues immediately, so you're not debugging blind.
Step 4: Map Your Data Fields
With credentials confirmed, open the Mapping Designer. Pre-built packages come with default field mappings already populated, so for most standard setups you won't need to change anything.
If your business uses custom fields (a common scenario in SAP environments), the visual drag-and-drop mapper lets you match source fields to destination fields without writing a single line of transformation logic. The AI-assisted mapping suggestions will even recommend matches based on field names and data types, cutting this step down to a few clicks.
Step 5: Set Your Sync Schedule and Go Live
The last configuration step is deciding how often data should sync. Under Workflow Settings, choose from:
-Real-time (event-driven): triggers instantly when a record changes
-Scheduled: runs at a set interval (every 15 minutes, hourly, daily)
-Manual: you trigger syncs on demand
For most order and inventory workflows, real-time or 15-minute scheduled syncs work best. Once you've set the schedule, click Activate Workflow. The dashboard will show a green status indicator and begin logging sync activity immediately.
That's it. From environment setup to a live data sync, the whole process typically takes under an hour for a standard package, and there's no code to maintain after the fact.
