This premium five-color somen noodle is a functional, health-oriented product made from 100% Korean wheat and enriched with a selection of natural domestic ingredients. Each color represents a nutritious addition: mushroom mycelium from Korean-grown reishi, shiitake, and agaricus; cactus fruit (baeknyeoncho) from Jeju Island; gardenia from Namhae; wild yam (sanyak) from Andong; and high-grade sejak-level green tea harvested from the Hwagae region of Jirisan.

Developed through an industry–university–research collaboration with Daegu Haany University’s Department of Korean Medicine Food & Nutrition, this product reflects a scientific approach to enhancing traditional noodle craftsmanship. Although natural fading may occur over time due to the use of plant-based ingredients, such color changes do not affect the product’s overall quality or safety.

Made entirely with domestic wheat, the noodles may have slightly less elasticity compared to imported wheat products. Nevertheless, they offer a warm, savory flavor that highlights the wholesome character of Korean-grown grains. For the best texture, the noodles should be cooked for 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes, ensuring a pleasantly chewy bite.
