RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif., September 2026. Synergize Inc., a nonprofit outreach and event marketing company serving the greater Sacramento region, has published a plain walkthrough of its hiring process. The article, "What actually happens in a Synergize Inc interview," describes each stage so that a candidate knows what the conversation covers and what to ask before deciding anything.
"Interviews are strange by design," the company wrote. "You get about an hour to judge a company that has had years to prepare its answer."
The guide sets out three stages. The first is a short phone call that the company describes as mostly listening: what the candidate is doing now and what they are looking for. The second is an in-person conversation at the Rancho Cordova office, where the candidate meets the people they would work with and learns which nonprofit partners they would represent and where the work happens. The third is time in the field with the team, watching real outreach conversations, because reading about face-to-face outreach and seeing it are different things.
The article encourages candidates to ask hard questions at the in-person stage: who they would report to, what happened to the last person in the role, and how many of the people who started in the last six months are still there. It is equally direct about what is being assessed. Not polish or a perfect resume, but whether a person can hold a conversation with a stranger without performing or shrinking, can take a correction and use it the same day, and shows up.
Its closing advice applies to any job offer: get the role, the reporting line, the schedule, the location, and the compensation terms for the specific position in writing, and read them properly before signing.
The guide was published in August 2026 alongside a companion piece, "How to check out any Sacramento employer before you say yes," a twenty-minute checklist for confirming that a company is registered with the state, has a real office, and has leadership who can be found by name. The company says the checklist should be run on Synergize as well.
