EverFlex Fitness, a personal training company based in Calgary, requires a full movement assessment before assigning any client to a training program, and operates without lock-in contracts, according to the company. Programs are revised as the client progresses rather than remaining fixed from the point of sign-up, the company stated. EverFlex has been operating in Calgary since 2010 and has worked with more than 500 clients across the city.
Prospective clients begin with an intro call where a team member reviews their goals and whether the program is a suitable match, according to the company. Those who proceed attend an in-person assessment covering strength, mobility, balance, and body composition. The results determine the structure of the training program. Clients choose between one-on-one sessions or small group training with three to six participants. In both cases, the program is written for that individual. Programs are revised as client goals or circumstances change, the company stated.
"Most people who come to us have already tried training on their own or in a class and found that it did not get them where they needed to go," said Mike Hamlin, founder of the company. "What makes the difference is starting with an honest look at where someone actually is, not where they think they should be, and building from there."
The company reports a client base that includes people managing chronic health conditions, returning from injury, training for competitive sport, and re-entering fitness after extended time away. It trains clients at partner gyms and private spaces across Calgary, with a concentration in SW Calgary and additional locations across the city. Online training is also available for clients outside Calgary. The company can be reached at https://everflexfitness.com.
