They are measuring crypto plus tokenized cash, wrapped exposure, and Wall Street products stapled onto blockchains. RealCryptoCap strips that padding out so investors and traders can see real crypto market cap and real Bitcoin dominance.

The numbers make the case. CoinGecko currently reports roughly $2.69 trillion in total crypto market cap. RealCryptoCap native-crypto index sits near $2.42 trillion. Just the largest assets RealCryptoCap excludes, including Tether, USDC, tokenized treasuries, gold tokens, wrapped products, and real-world asset wrappers, already total more than $330 billion.

If CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko keep counting every on-chain wrapper as crypto, their rankings will eventually be topped by national currencies and FAANG stocks wearing a crypto label.
