TBILISI, Georgia - 6 August 2026 - ROSCASH, a cross-border savings-circle platform, has gone public with what it calls the auction-priced savings circle, a format it has been running in open beta since April 2026. It is a rotating savings group in which the order of payouts is set by a live auction each round rather than by lottery, seniority, or an organiser's decision.
The model it digitises is old and very large. Rotating savings and credit associations, known as tanda in Mexico, arisan in Indonesia, paluwagan in the Philippines, chit fund in India, gam'eya in Egypt, stokvel in South Africa and susu in West Africa, are used by an estimated two billion people worldwide, moving on the order of a trillion dollars a year entirely outside formal banking. The mechanism is simple: a group agrees on a contribution, everyone pays in each round, and one member takes the whole pool. Its unsolved problem is equally simple. Someone has to decide who goes first, and that decision is where disputes, favouritism and collapsed circles begin.
ROSCASH prices it. In each round, members bid a discount against their own payout. The lowest bid at the close of the six-hour window wins and receives the pool minus that discount. Seventy per cent of the discount is then split among every share that has not yet been paid out; bidding does not affect eligibility, and only the single share the winner redeems this round is excluded. The platform retains the remaining thirty per cent. The opening bid must be at least 10 per cent below the standard payout, every subsequent bid at least 1 per cent below the current leader, and the discount is capped at 50 per cent. The queue position becomes a priced good instead of a favour, and the cost of impatience is transferred directly to the patient.
"In a savings circle, the argument is never about the money, it is about who goes first," said Michael Gogiya, founder and CEO of ROSCASH. "I spent my career in commercial banking watching people who had no access to credit run these circles perfectly well among themselves, and lose them to one unresolved question of order. Pricing the queue answers that question without anyone having to arbitrate it."
As of 6 August 2026, ROSCASH has distributed more than 217,000 USDC, with 414 active participants and 13 circles open to new members. The platform runs as a progressive web app and a Telegram mini-app in nine languages - English, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, Hindi, Indonesian and Bengali - with circles denominated and settled in USDC, allowing members of a single circle to be in different countries. Alongside the auction format the platform offers a fixed-queue format for members who prefer a predictable payout date.
The economics are published rather than implied. The winner of an auction round pays no platform commission at all; the discount they bid is the payment, and charging a pool fee on top would bill the same member twice for the same thing. The platform's entire revenue from an auction round is 30 per cent of that discount, so it earns only when a member chooses to pay for speed, and nothing at all from a round in which nobody bids. On the fixed-queue and lottery formats, which have no discount, the platform takes 10 per cent of the pool: 5 per cent to operations, 3 per cent to the partner who introduced the member, and 2 per cent to an insurance reserve covering missed contributions. There is no security deposit - a member funds the whole cycle on joining.
ROSCASH is in public beta and states its position plainly: it is not a bank, it does not guarantee the return of funds, and during beta the platform holds and processes circle funds under each circle's published rules. On-chain smart-contract custody, where the code rather than the company holds the pool, is on the beta roadmap and has not shipped - there is no contract address and no audit. Members should check how their own jurisdiction treats informal savings groups and crypto assets before participating, and should not commit funds they cannot afford to lose.
Every figure above can be checked directly at roscash.org/api/public/stats, a public unauthenticated endpoint. The platform is available now at roscash.org.
