The launch represents a major step toward helping industries move from assumption-based chemical selection to scientific, data-backed performance validation. With membrane fouling and scaling continuing to be among the leading causes of declining RO performance, plant downtime, increased operating costs, and premature membrane replacement, Vipanan’s new testing service aims to help operators make more informed decisions regarding antiscalant usage and membrane system protection.
Across industries, including power generation, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage processing, manufacturing, desalination, wastewater treatment, chemical processing, and industrial utilities, reverse osmosis membranes remain central to water purification and process reliability. However, membrane systems are increasingly challenged by inorganic scaling from calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate, silica, barium sulphate, strontium sulphate, and other dissolved mineral contaminants that accumulate over time.
