Amb. Dr. Deepa Chhagan Lalloo Explores the Future of Human-Centred Leadership.

With artificial intelligence, automation and changing expectations for the workplace changing the face of business, Amb. Deepa Chhagan Lalloo, MD, is highlighting the need for human talent to make things work for organisations.

She is also known as Sunaina and is the Founder and Managing Director of Altius Global Advisory, a company working in the field of organisational psychology, leadership effectiveness and sustainable business performance.

She believes in the connection between potential, capability and impact, which is her professional philosophy. Potential is the ability to develop and capacity is the knowledge, skills, judgement and behaviours needed to be effective. When these capabilities are applied for a purpose, Impact comes to the fore.

This is a way of relating the individual to organisational performance. Talent is not enough, businesses must have a supportive environment, effective structure and clear goals with leadership that allows people to contribute meaningfully.

Deepa's executive background is focused on human capital (HC) operations at AvaCare Health Group Global, and also in HC, OD, leadership development and employee engagement at BDO. Her career as an assessor at the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, added to her depth of knowledge of executive development and real-life leadership issues.

She has a Masters in Organisational Psychology from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. In 2026, also Kennedy University awarded her a Peace Ambassadorship and honorary doctorates, both with specialisation in Organisational Psychology and Strategic Management and Leadership.
