Located in the Geumsan District of Waegwan Industrial Complex in Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk, the company operates on a 3,030㎡ site with an 819.1㎡ production facility. Since the factory’s completion in June 2000, the company began producing somyeon noodles exclusively for export to Japan, meeting the high standards of the international market.
Responding to the rising demand for premium noodles among Korean consumers, the company expanded its reach to domestic sales in 2004. This transition marked an important milestone as it introduced its high-quality somyeon to the Korean market.
To further advance its product capabilities, the company established an industry–academia partnership with the Department of Korean Medicine Food, Culinary, and Nutrition at Daegu Haany University. Through this collaboration, the company participates in joint R&D consortium projects focused on developing functional noodle products.
Its first major outcome was the patented green tea somyeon, made using wild green tea from Jirisan’s Hwagae region. This development introduced a refreshing new dimension to traditional noodle flavors.
The second achievement was the creation and patent registration of black rice–infused functional noodles. By implementing the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, the company reinforced strict quality assurance throughout its production process.
Recognized for both quality and regional value, the company’s products are designated as specialty goods of Chilgok County and are available through the Korea Postal Service Agency’s Post Office Shopping platform.
Continuing its commitment to innovation, the company plans to further research and develop new varieties of somyeon, striving to meet consumer expectations while contributing to the growth of Korea’s noodle industry.
