The journey of the Executive Director of Human Resources and Human Capital includes, inter alia, the following positions: Ava Care Health Group Global, in the role of Group Human Resources Director as well as Executive Director of Human Resources and Human Capital, she established and consolidated human capital activities of 18 subsidiaries in 12 African countries, the UAE, India and Kazakhstan.

At BDO, she supported in the areas of talent management, organisation development, learning and development and performance management. These areas show how the links to workforce planning and professional development to organisational priorities when driven by clear organisational goals.

Deepa earned her MSc in Organisational Psychology from the University of London, a BA from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and has been an assessor of the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

In 2026, Kennedy University also awarded her with a Peace Ambassadorship and an honorary doctorate in Organisational Psychology, Strategic Management and Leadership.
